Introduction
NOTE: This manual is still a work in progress, and coverage of our existing features is incomplete. We’re working on expanding it, but in the meantime you can send us questions at any time using the feedback form at the top right of the project editor and manual pages.
syne.studio is a browser-based digital audio workstation (DAW) with realtime collaboration. It removes much of the tedium of setting up a production environment, and frees you to focus on making music. It’s a platform where musicians, producers, and audio engineers can create sound anywhere, with anyone.
Many devices in the project editor link directly to their section of the manual. Try right-clicking a device and selecting “Learn”.
Collaborators can work on a project simultaneously, and any changes they make will be synchronized in real-time.
Syne is free to use, and will always have a generous free tier. Professional production tools are traditionally very expensive, and we aim to make them more accessible for everyone. We plan to eventually offer a Pro plan with features like:
- Private projects
- Unlimited sample storage
- Tools to make it easier to release projects
